Software Xone K2 Traktor Mac
Open Preferences/Audio Setup and select the ASIO driver (Windows) or the Core Audio driver (Mac) for the Xone:DX. Traktor will set the latency to a default value. You can lower the latency setting if you want. I was able to run Traktor with the DX without problems with a latency setting of 2.5 ms.

Allen & Heath has announced a new DJ controller, the Xone:K2, which it will demonstrate for the first time at the BPM Show this weekend. The controller has the same slimline shape as the Traktor X1, but differs in a number of ways, including having four physical faders and a built in four-out sound card.

It has also been designed as a “universal” device to control any DJ software, having 52 hardware controls that can provide 171 Midi commands across three layers, with three-colour LEDs lighting buttons to indicate which layer is selected.
While the unit comes with sample mappings, Allen & Heath envisages it as being adapted by DJs to suit their own style and workflow, promising “quick and simple” mapping, which will allow the device to control any Midi software.
Two units can be linked together to provide a greater degree of control using Allen & Heath’s X:LINK protocol, and Allen & Heath also offers the possibility of X:LINKing two of these to one of its digital mixers (the Xone:DB4 or newly announced Xone:DB2), which would give a 100% digital system that would have truly mouthwatering potential.
Each unit comes with a carry case, which doubles up as a stand, to raise it up to the height of any standard club mixer. As long as you don’t need a crossfader, you could feasibly mix four decks with just this one unit, and plug into one channel of a mixer – or straight into a PA.

Alternatively, you could use an external mixer to control two independent decks with each Xone:K2, by plugging both the headphone and the RCA outputs into separate channels. On first glance, an extra set of RCAs on the back would have been preferable to having to use the headphone socket in this way. We’ll bring you a full review as soon as we’ve had a chance to properly test one of the units.
What do you think? Have you been waiting for an X1-style controller with a built-in sound card? Can you see yourself slotting one of these into your workflow? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Hi guys, i have a problem with my Xone:k2 dual setup. i watched all possible videos about connect and setup k2 to mac with an external mixer (macbook pro mid2012, yosemite 10.10.4, processor 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5, ram 8gb – mixer xone:42) but i have a problem: when i create an aggregate device the k2s are recognized as speakers, in fact the 8 in/out outputs are labeled as “frontleft”-“frontright” etc. Bypassed this problem i had configurate tractor preferences in the same way i watched in the videos but software recognize just one controller. i changed channels and updated firmware with the latest A&H official update but still doesn’t work.
please help me!
I have the same Mac except I’m on Snow Leopard.
I only have 1 K2 but from what I remember when reading the manual you can connect 1 K2 to the other with a network cable that came in the box with it. Have them both on different channels. It should also only be able to use one of the soundcard in 1 of them, the other should be disabled. Remember to connect the K2s first and then start Traktor too. That’s the best advice I can give, as I have never tried this setup and have only 1 K2.
Good luck!
I also have dual K2 setup and Mac, which works fine.
Don’t worry about the way OS X labels the audio interface outputs as “Front left” etc. That’s the standard way OS X labels things with every audio interface, it’s perfectly normal.

If you are using the audio interfaces in your K2s and combine them together via aggregate device, they both need to be connected via USB. As the manual states, X-link only relays only MIDI-data.
Is there any reason you need to have 2 audio interfaces? I’m curious as to what you are trying t do.
I’m guessing you are connecting into 4 channels on the main house mixer, though I can’t imagine what you are doing with that setup 🙂https://sageomg.netlify.app/accounting-and-invoice-software-for-mac.html. I’ve considered getting another K1 and using X-Link. it seems more efficient and frees up a USB slot, but I like to mix internally and use 1 layer on the K2 as volume/EQ/loops controls etc.
If stems can be used with K2 I may consider upgrading my OS so I can update my Traktor to the latest 🙂

Hi guys,
XP was available for a long time and works well with almost all radio applications. If you have an older Windows machine already with Windows XP on it then you might as well stay with that. There are a few older applications that are written for DOS that might have some issues but you can usually work around that in XP. If you buy new however you might not be able to chose your version or Windows. Radio shack scanner programming software mac.

… @GiovanniBarbaro… not so far from your Setup (Xone:DB4 – 2x Cdj-2000NX – 2x A&H K2 – Mac Pro Late 13 – Yosemite 10.10.5 – Traktor Pro Scratch 2 ver:2.8.1)
Less is more, i always try to keep it simple …
My two K2 are X-Linked each others (RJ-45) and to the DB4, they don’t need to be aggregated, (as my two Cdj’s they don’t need either). All of them are also going out via USB (HUB 2.0) to my Mac. I’m used to separate the one coming out the DB4 (which contain my soundcard) and plug in directly to my Mac, avoiding all risks of conflicts. (So I will use two slots on my Mac …) One for DB4, one for my HUB (2 K2, 2 CDJ)
For Traktor, to get your K2 functional as you mapped it, you’ll have to disable the X-Link Pairing in your Xone Configuration Menu (on the mixer), and have two different channels
… hope it helps, …
For Stems, the use of a K2 is,in my opinion, without any screen, even with a Led-Out Mapping, a second-choice solution … anyway have to wait a bit more to see if it’s the massive success anounced …I meant if we can eventually see stems displays in Traktor on the laptop screen…maybe I should try it o my Windows setup (where I can put the latest version of Traktor) as perhaps the separate stems displays may not be as missed as I currently think – after all, know your music.
I really don’t want extra screens. I’m happy using a K2 and plugging in CDJs via USB 🙂
